I like to think of soil testing like checking the fuel gauge on your truck before a long haul. You could probably guess how far you’ll get — but guessing wrong could cost you time, money, and maybe a tow home.

Soil testing can be booked through the Valleyview Co-op Grow Team, and I recommend doing it in October. You can test in the spring if you need to, but fall results give you the whole winter to analyze, plan, and adjust — without the rush of seeding around the corner.
