Valleyview Consumers Co-op Ltd is pleased to announce they have signed an agreement with the Reston Golf Club Board of Directors, to be the Platinum Sponsors of their new clubhouse. The agreement will see Valleyview contributed $50,000.00 to the project, securing naming rights for the next 10 years.

The Reston Golf Club is constructing a multi-use clubhouse facility, enhancing the community’s recreation opportunities. The existing structure will be demolished and removed to construct a new 2,500 square foot accessible multi-use clubhouse facility.

Brent Cook, President of the Board of Directors at the Reston Golf Club says the impact of the Co-op Community Clubhouse will be huge. “We’ve done so many improvements in the last 3 or 4 years, that this is just the icing on the cake.”

Board member Ross Tycoles says the project will be moving forward quickly. “We are hoping to turn ground just after the September long weekend. So, we are being pretty aggressive. We’d like to have it closed in before winter and hopefully opening by next spring, May long weekend.”

Valleyview Co-op General Manager Greg Gill says supporting this project was an easy decision as so many people in the surrounding communities will be impacted by the new facility. “The project was a wonderful fit for Valleyview Co-op as community projects such as these impact the quality of life for our members and employees. It is vital to ensure our communities are thriving and growing. This is a tangible way that we can show our members that dollars spent in our locations stay in their community.”
