A message from Valleyview Consumers Co-op Ltd. General Manager, Gregory Gill.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, team leaders and team members, I extend my gratitude for your continued support. Valleyview Consumers Co-op Ltd. experienced sales and revenues in line with pre-covid levels. Petroleum litres continue to rise; however, food volumes experienced a slight decline while crop supplies had strong results despite challenging growing conditions. As we finished our first full year of shared operations of Co-op Ag Equip with Twin Valley Co-op, we were pleased to see performance exceeding expectations.

I am pleased to share that our Board of Directors approved an allocation of $2,693,000. The Board felt necessary to thank our members for their loyalty with a 60% cash repayment, equaling $1,733,188. A total of 6,177 cheques were mailed; cheques averaged $281 and increase of $62 or 28% from the previous year.

To our members, guests, and community groups, I would like to say thank you. Your continued support of our Co-op allows us to offer quality goods and services in Virden, Melita, Oak Lake, Pierson, Kenton, Reston, and Oak River. We are proud of the investments we have made in community projects; these investments will ensure we help build sustainable communities for our members, families, and friends.
